Description
Compressed air dryer can be divided into three types—refrigerated air dryer, absorption type air dryer and combined type dryer. It is widely applied in industries like oil, chemical, steel, ship, spray, hydraulic machinery and automobile industry. Such air dryer is used to get solid materials with specified moisture content by heating wet materials.

Maintenance
Clean the air condenser and avoid crushing its finned surface. Air condenser should be put in places with enough space so as to vent and dissipate heat. And it cannot work under direct sunlight. Clean the surface with compressed air regularly.
Maintenance for Air Cooling Dryer and Water Cooling Air Dryer
1. Observe the value on the recorder four times every shift.
(1) Differential pressure in compressed air inlet and outlet is no more than 0.035 MPa.
(2) Evaporating pressure is between 0.4 MPa and 0.5 MPa.
(3) High pressure is from 1.2 MPa to 1.6 MPa.
2. As for refrigerated air dryer, operators should observe drainage and sewerage system.
(1) Clean floating ball drainer once a week.
(2) Clean sewerage pipe once a week.
Cleaning Method for Electric Drainer
a. Close the ball valve in front of auto drainer.
b. Loosen the top fixed nuts and take out timing loops. The loops cannot be exposed to water, or the loops will be burnt out.
c. Pluck the soft pipe, unscrew the valve of the drainer and let out the compressed air in the drainer.
d. Demount valve element and wipe it clean.
e. Screw the valve back in place and open the ball valve. And compressed air can completely discharge impurities and water oil. Clean up the valve with duster cloth.
f. Install the valve element and timing coil according to normal position, then install the hose and open the ball valve.
3. Observe the inlet temperature of cooling water system and compressed air system.
(1) Cooling Water Temperature: 2℃ to 32℃
(2) Water Pressure: 0.15 MPa to 0.3 MPa
(3) Air Inlet Temperature: ≤ 45 ℃ (Advisable temperature should not make people feel burnt.) Special conditions are excluded.
(4) Keep the cooling water clean. Cleanse Y shape filter twice a month and renew the cooling water once a month. Cleanse the water cooler once a year (depends on the water quality). Clean the air cooler once a month.
Cleaning Method for Shell-and-Tube Water Condenser
Block the cooling water inlet and outlet. Open the end cap of the pipe that is not filled with water. Cleanse external part of end cap and spacer. Clean the inside pipe with air, water or stick covered by cloth. Attention that operators should clean it with proper strength so as to avoid breaking the inside copper pipe.
4. Observe the cooling system as often as possible.
(1) Touch the compressor of refrigerated air dryer at least once a day. Ice-cold or frosting is normal phenomenon.
(2) Feel the temperature difference of filter sides every week. The temperature difference should not be so big. If the inlet s hot and outlet is cool, the dry filter should be replaced.
(3) If abnormal noise or radiation appears, get in touch with after sale service man as soon as possible.
5. Check electrical apparatus control system. Remove the dust and fasten the terminal under the uncharged condition.
6. Outside Maintenance
Mop up the grease dirt and dust with dry towel regularly. Wipe off the dust and oil contamination on the installation ground so as to keep the surroundings clean.
