Components
1. Rack
Rack adopts rigid frame with up and down opening so as to support eccentric shaft and bear counter-acting force.
2. Jaw Plate and Side Protecting Plate
Fixed jaw and moving jaw are made of jaw bed and jaw plate. As the working part, jaw plate is fixed on the jaw bed by bolt and drift. With enough strength and rigidity, it can bear broken reaction force.
3. Transmission Gear
Eccentric shaft is the principal axis of jaw crusher. It is made of high-carbon steel.
4. Control Apparatus
Control apparatus has wedge block type, base plate type and hydraulic type. Usually, wedge block type is adopted. It is made up of front and back block. The front block can move backwards and forwards. The back block is kind of regulating block and can move up and down.
5. Flywheel
The flywheel is used to store idle stroke energy of moving jaw. Flywheel is usually made of cast iron or cast steel.
6. Lubrication Device
Eccentric shaft employs centralized circulation lubrication. The bearing surfaces of mandrel and thrust plate make use of lubricating grease to add oil manually.
Working Principle
Jaw crusher takes squeeze driven method as its working mode. Belt and belt wheel are driven by electromotor. Moving jaw moves up and down with the movement of eccentric shaft. When moving jaw moves up to wrist plate, the included angle becomes big so as to drive moving jaw plate close to fixed jaw plate and the materials are crushed or smashed. When the moving jaw moves downward, the angle becomes small. Under the action of trolley and spring, the moving jaw leaves the fixed jaw plate and the crushed or smashed materials are discharged from the bottom crushing cavity mouth. With continuous rotation of electromotor, the moving jaw of jaw crusher makes periodic motion to crush and discharge materials and realize batch production.

Attention
1. Carry out commissioning test run only after the jaw crushing machine functions well.
2. The crushed materials should be added into crusher cavity. Lateral or full materials should be avoided so as to avoid lateral overload or bearing overload.
3. The normal bearing temperature should be below 30℃ and maximum temperature should be below 70℃. If the temperature exceeds the above temperature, jaw crushing equipment should come to a halt and check and solve the problem.
4. Before parking, users should stop feeding. And power off after the crushed materials are completely discharged.
5. When crushing, if the jaw crusher stops due to crusher material block. At his time, jaw crushing machine should be powered off. Clean the materials in the jaw cavity and then start up again.
6. If one end of jaw plate wears out, it can be turn around so as to makes use of it.
Choose and Buy
1. Choose jaw crushers according to actual requirements, many parameters can be referred, such as feed size and output size, etc. Larger feed size, coarser particle size. Larger feed size, bigger particle size.
2. The quality of jaw crusher scale board should be taken into consideration. Three factors should cause users’ attention: the quantity, abrasion performance of the scale board and power consumption of jaw crushing machine. Under general circumstances, maximum feed size, change of particle size, the distribution of feed size, abrasion resistance of material and the rigidity are considered.
3. The length of the scale board and the jaw crusher power consumption exist a directly proportional relationship. The longer the scale board is, the higher the power consumption is. As a general rule, soft materials choose long scale board and hard material choose short one. Fine materials choose short scale board and coarse materials choose long one.
4. Materials with more water content will affect the throughput capacity. Generally, the water content should below 5%. As for power use, standard jaw crusher can reach 80% use ratio. Short head type jaw crusher can reach 85%.
5. Generally speaking, the feed size that is smaller than discharge gate of close mouth cannot surpass 10%. Once exceeds, the power consumption will rise and the particle will become flake.
6. Feed uniformly without segregation, or it will cause productivity impairment, uneven particle size, over frequent spring movement and rising power consumption. In addition, de-iron device must be mounted on jaw crusher so as to avoid rupture and wreck of rotor.
7. Regular maintenance work is necessary.
Maintenance and Repair
1. Maintenance
1) Close jaw crusher periodically and check the wear pattern inside the machine, such as central feed pipe, conical cap, up and down runner scale board of impeller, circular fender and attrition rate of wear plate. Replace and repair seriously wear parts timely. Besides, the weight model and size, etc. should be in accordance with the former ones.
2) Check the driving belt regularly. Jaw crusher is driven by driving belt. Regulate the tightness of the belt so as to guarantee uniform load-carrying capacity. When jaw crushing machine is driven by two motors, bilateral triangle belt should be grouped and matched so as to ensure fit length of each group. Replace seriously wear driving belt immediately.
3) Lubricate mechanical parts. Jaw crushing equipment makes use of Mobil automotive special grease or3 lithium base grease. Proper amount of lubricating grease should be added every 400 working hours. When working 2000 hours, open spindle and cleanse the bearings. Generally, the bearings should be replaced after 7200 working hours. Besides correct operation, scheduled maintenance is necessary. Such maintenance includes daily maintenance check minor repairs, repair and overhaul.
2. Repair
1. Minor repair includes checking and repairing the adjusting device, regulating and replacing wear scale board and overhauling the drive part and lubrication system, etc. The period is one to three months.
2. Besides minor repair work, medium repair includes replacing thrust plate and scale board, check and repair bearing bush, etc. And the period is one to two years.
3. Besides all medium repair work, overhauling repair includes replacing or turning eccentric shaft and the mandrel of moving jaw, casting Babbitt metal and replace and repair all wear parts. Overhauling repair periodic is about five years.
